A few hours away from a new edition of the "Pacific Classic," the selected players are concentrated in Santiago for Peru vs. Chile, the highly anticipated clash for the third round of the Qualifiers for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Due to the current political crisis our nation is going through, the members of the national team expressed their views on the tough times our Peru is facing, and one of them was Edison Flores, who spoke out through his social media.
"Today, thousands of Peruvians represent our feelings on the streets. Now eleven players will also go out to defend our homeland with determination and self-love, giving their all for our colors," said the popular "Orejas" (Ears).
"Be clear that the most important match, which is the fight for our rights, is played by all of us together, and I'm sure we will win it," added Flores through a story on his Instagram account.
