The Bundesliga included one of the goals scored by Peruvian forward Paolo Guerrero (36 years old) among the best goals scored by Latin American players in the history of the German championship.
The website highlighted that the list could not "miss" the amazing goal that the captain of the Peruvian National Team scored in the match between Hamburg and Bochum in the 2008-2009 season.
"In the campaign in which he had the most prominence, he scored one of the best goals by a Latin American player ever seen in the German league," Bundesliga announced.
On May 13, 2009, the current top scorer for Inter de Porto Alegre opened the victory for Hamburg, who had gone three games without a win. In the 15th minute, he received a pass from Marcell Jansen and with a powerful right-footed shot from outside the box, he placed the ball into the top left corner of Daniel Fernandes' goal. In the end, his team won 3-1.
In that season, Guerrero scored nine goals and provided six assists in one of his best campaigns in the German league. "He did not return to the German league, but his legacy endured over time. Paolo Guerrero is a 'Made in Bundesliga' footballer and also the author of one of the 'best Latin goals'," added the Bundesliga.
Paolo Guerrero played for Bayern Munich from the 2003-04 season to the 2005-06 season, while at Hamburg, he played from 2006-07 to 2011-12. He then signed with Corinthians in Brazil.
