#BlackOutTuesday and #BlackLivesMatter are the hashtags that dominated social media in support of the protests over the death of George Floyd in police custody and against racism.
Peruvian players, who live in the United States, like Edison Flores and Raúl Ruidíaz, posted a black image on their Instagram account as a sign of rejection of what happened to George Floyd at the hands of three police officers in Minneapolis.
But they were not the only ones. We also have Jefferson Farfán, Carlos Zambrano, Yordy Reyna, Gabriel Costa.
A strike day initiated this Tuesday by the music industry in solidarity with the anti-racist protests became a social media phenomenon with millions of posts of black images accompanied by messages of vindication or grief and the campaign hashtags, #BlackLivesMatter and #BlackOutTuesday.
