The Argentine Ricardo Centurión stated that he considered ending his life after the deaths of his girlfriend and grandmother. In an interview with TyC Sports, the Vélez Sarsfield midfielder recounted that he even thought what was happening to him was just a bad dream.

"After the death of my girlfriend and my grandmother, I considered ending my life", said Centurión. "I had two strikes very quickly. If I didn't get up quickly, I think I would have ended my life and it wasn't like that. I felt that it wasn't the time for me. I still feel like I'm living a dream. My reality is this, I have to get up and keep going," added the midfielder. His grandmother died in early March and his girlfriend, Melody Pisani, also passed away days later from cardiac arrest.

Similarly, the Argentine spoke about how he is dealing with the pandemic while carrying the burden of two close losses. "When my grandmother died, Vélez was playing against Unión in Santa Fe. I grabbed the car and left with my girlfriend feeling bad. She told me it would do me good and distract me. We loaded up the mate, we left, we were with the team and that made me feel better. Now, if I want to go to a teammate's house and I don't have permission, it's like being a criminal. Because of the pandemic, you have to stay at home and try to move as little as possible, but I can't take it anymore, I want to move, I want to train," affirmed Centurión.

'Ricky' is currently on loan at Vélez Sarsfield, where he shares a dressing room with the Peruvian Luis Abram. The midfielder will have to return to Racing on June 30 when his contract ends, but he stated that he would like to continue with 'El Fortín'. "If it ends with Vélez, it's a shame. I have enjoyed it a lot here, the group is wonderful, we have a great time," he concluded.
