Juan Diego Gutierrez, who terminated his contract with Oriente Petrolero by mutual agreement due to the suspension of the Bolivian championship, stated that he would like to return to Peru and play in the Liga 1.
"Due to the current global situation, it is most likely that I will return to be with my family and then try to play in Peru (...) I expected to play the whole year here, my contract was supposed to end on May 31 and with all the economic problems and the league not being played, I have to evaluate many issues," he told Ovación.
"First, I want to return to my family and if the championship resumes, I would like to play in Peru," added the 28-year-old player, who joined Oriente Petrolero in mid-January and has been in quarantine since March 17.
"Since then I have been in my apartment, I have only gone out twice to do household shopping and I haven't gone out since. I am waiting for the situation to improve so that the borders can be reopened and I can return. It is also not comfortable to be away from family and not doing what you love," Guti said.
