Alexei Ríos is the only Peruvian footballer playing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The player, who also has Belarusian heritage, competes with the FK Dinamo Minsk shirt in the Premier League of that country, the only active competition in Europe despite the coronavirus.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who arrived at the club in the capital of Belarus in January of this year after playing five years at BATE Borisov, is a regular starter for coach Sergei Gurenko.
This Saturday, Alexei Ríos played the entire match which ended in a 1-0 defeat for FK Dinamo Minsk in their visit to Gorodeja, in a game corresponding to the fourth matchday of the Premier League of Belarus.
Dinamo Minsk suffered their third loss in the four matches they have played.
A penalty converted by Sergey Arkhipov in the 15th minute facilitated Gorodeja's second consecutive victory (1-0), beating a rival that played the last 25 minutes with one man less due to the expulsion of Belgian Danilo, and falling into the penultimate position in the table, in the relegation zone.
