Peruvian Badminton Champion's Training Impacted by Pandemic

I was hoping to achieve new victories for Peru, but the coronavirus pandemic has also affected the sports activities of this Pan American parabadminton champion.

Pilar Jáuregui was looking to earn qualifying points for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She had planned to compete in Spain during the first half of March, but the event had to be canceled due to border closures.

"I can't even imagine what I would have done. As paradeathletes, we face some difficulties. Thankfully, we were notified in time and didn't go," said Pilar Jáuregui, who is now training at home.
