Luis Aguiar is a reference in the current Alianza Lima squad. The Uruguayan midfielder was an important piece in the team that became champion with the "íntimo" team after 11 years in the 2017 season.

In a conversation with a radio station in his country, the "Canario" acknowledged that he always wanted to return after leaving the team.

"I already returned to the team I wanted to come back to. I was away for 2 years, I feel comfortable here, even though the environment is tense because we haven't started well. It was one of my desires to return to Alianza before retiring from football," Aguiar said on Sport 890 from Uruguay.

On the other hand, the former Peñarol and Nacional player also commented on how he is managing his training routine during this quarantine period.

"This week we had double training sessions, we follow the videos they send us to guide us in the work we have to do," he added.

After six rounds of the Apertura Tournament, Alianza Lima is in 13th place with 7 points. After these results, Pablo Bengoechea resigned from the team and Mario Salas took his place, although he is currently working remotely from Chile due to the current situation surrounding the Coronavirus.
