Paolo Maldonado returns to Universitario de Deportes as coach of the women's team
The former football player will have the responsibility of leading the team in their quest to defend the national title obtained in the 2019 season.
Furthermore, the 46-year-old coach will guide the team in their participation in the 2020 Copa Libertadores Femenina, which will take place in Santiago, Chile from September 25th to October 11th.
Paolo Maldonado joined the women's team of Universitario to replace Juan Pablo Durand, who started working for the institution in Ate in July 2017 and was the main responsible for the crown obtained in 2019, the fourth in the club's history.
It is worth mentioning that the popular Manzanita was champion five times with the 'U' jersey. With Maldonado in the squad, the team won titles in 1990, 1992, 1993, 1999, and 2000.
