Tiago Cantoro signed a four-season contract with Universitario. The striker's agreement, sealed in a press conference, generated various reactions. Among them, former cream administrator Carlos Moreno, who attacked Solución y Desarrollo again, stating that they first buried the player and now even "put together" a presentation for him.
"While Cantoro played in the reserve team, the team was winning and leading the table, then they withdrew him and the team declined. Now, they want to create a circus with the player and, although I think it's excellent that they give him a contract, the boy could have continued playing and being linked to Universitario without all of this," he told Radio Ovación.
Undoubtedly, Moreno believes he was on the right side regarding Tiago Cantoro, stating that the Universitario athlete could continue contributing to the team's effort to earn two points in the overall standings, which is becoming increasingly difficult.
On the other hand, he spoke about the new statutes of the FPF and the controversial change of stance shown by the administration from one day to another, which caused the club to come under scrutiny.
"We reviewed the statutes and our biggest concern were the television rights. We even told the president of the FPF about it. Therefore, if the club had no certainty that the television rights had increased for the clubs, I would have voted against the approval of the statutes," he concluded.
