Dota 2 is the flagship eSport of Peru. We have standout teams and players in the international scene, but the Ministry of Culture seemed to not take into account this important growing industry.
But it's not just Valve's MOBA. The country also has an official League of Legends league (Claro Guardians League) that offers spots for the Latin American League. Even the Peruvian PES League community has the best players in the PES 2020 region.
Well, it seems it's time to give space to eSports and video game development on the national agenda. The Ministry of Culture announced that it will hold the "Gaming Day", an event that will present the first study on the ecosystem of the video game sector in Peru.
