For Francisco Pizarro, seeing himself as the coach of Alianza Lima won't be a novelty. The former goalkeeper took over today as interim coach and will work to qualify the team for an international tournament.
Now as the coach of Alianza Lima, Francisco Pizarro spoke to the club's website and expressed his gratitude for the trust they have placed in him.
"I must express my gratitude once again for the trust to take on this responsibility. Anything the club needs, I will always support," stated Francisco Pizarro to Alianza Lima's website.

Regarding his previous tenure as coach at Alianza Lima, Francisco Pizarro recalled how he performed. "I did well, we only lost once and then won and tied, qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana," he said.
The goal that Francisco Pizarro sets for himself at Alianza Lima is clear, to achieve an international tournament. "We know that by fighting the remaining matches, we can put ourselves in an expectant position, but we're taking it step by step," he said.
This afternoon, Alianza Lima officially announced the departure of Gustavo Roverano as coach and appointed Francisco Pizarro as interim coach, with the assistance of Juan Jayo and Martín Quintero.
