In his first words as Alianza Lima's coach, Francisco Pizarro announced that his objective will be to qualify for the Copa Sudamericana 2016. He assured that he has the capability to achieve it, just like he did in the 2013 season.

"The idea is to try it again. We know that by fighting in the remaining matches, we can put ourselves in an expectant position for that objective," said Francisco Pizarro to the Alianza Lima News portal, who recalled that he only lost one match out of 11 in his first period.

In the same sense, Francisco Pizarro thanked the Alianza Lima administration for their trust. When they offered him the position, he did not hesitate to accept. "As I have always said, I will always be there to support the club with whatever they need," he said.

Francisco Pizarro will make his debut with the Alianza Lima jersey this Sunday against Cienciano in Cusco for matchday 13 of the Clausura tournament. 'Pancho' Pizarro will define his starting eleven on Friday. There is a lot of expectation about whether Daniel Pietro will remain in the goal for the blanquiazul team.
