The arbitration continues to be a topic of analysis and Leao Butrón is one of the latest to speak out about it. The goalkeeper of Alianza Lima asked the referees not to make so many mistakes but acknowledged that the mistakes have sometimes favored them and sometimes harmed them.
"As there are always good referees, but it must also be recognized that the mistakes have sometimes favored us and sometimes harmed us. Perhaps the protest is because another team has been more favored in the final stretch. I want to believe that it's not intentional," the goalkeeper said on 'Las Voces del Fútbol'.
"I think the referees, in trying to show that they don't want to support the big team, harm it, for example, in Kevin Quevedo's play. Referees should forget about the jerseys and make the right calls," Leao Butrón pointed out.
The goalkeeper of Alianza Lima said that mistakes will always exist, but in the last mistakes, Universitario de Deportes has been the beneficiary.
"That doesn't take away the good role they are playing and that must be clear. I believe that these are casual mistakes. Sometimes they harm you and sometimes they favor you, but the problem is when they always favor you, that's not right," he said.
Leao Butrón revealed that it has been a bit difficult for him to become a starter again, but little by little he is giving his best: "In goal, when you don't have continuity, it's always complicated, but as the minutes go by, you start feeling better. Every day I try to take advantage of the training, there are always nerves, especially when you don't play regularly, but I hope to continue doing well when it's my turn."
