El portero nacional aseguró que se siente a gusto con sus reiterados llamados a la selección peruana y espera sin apuros una oportunidad para resguardar el arco de la bicolor.

Comfortable in a family environment. Patricio Álvarez, goalkeeper of the Peruvian National Team, valued the moment he is living as a regular member of the national team on the eve of the national team's friendly matches against Uruguay for the October FIFA date.

The goalkeeper of Sporting Cristal highlighted the sensations he perceives from his new call-up to the Blanquirroja this Saturday from Buenos Aires, where he prepares for the matches against Uruguay without the uncertainty of a possible starting position, motivated by the confidence that Ricardo Gareca gives him.

"Everything is for the good of the group. Wherever I am, I will give my best," said 'Pato' Álvarez in a press conference, who explained how comfortable he feels in the 'team of all'.

"It is a group that welcomes you very well and being called up several times makes me feel more and more part of the group. I never take a call-up for granted and I try to give my best first at my club," added the goalkeeper from Sporting Cristal, who has found "a very good relationship and friendship with Carlos (Cáceda) and Pedro (Gallese)".

Álvarez also referred to the contributions that Óscar Ibáñez, the new goalkeeping coach of the Peruvian National Team, gives him.

"His experience and career are very much felt. He maintains a lot of dialogue with us. We are very attentive to listen to him and to have a dialogue with him as well because he is very open," he said.

Meanwhile, about Uruguay, he indicated that "they will be matches of a good level" that will serve "to continue affirming the good level" of the Peruvian National Team. He also downplayed the absences of Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani in Tabárez's team, as "the analysis that is always made of the opponent is at a collective level".
