A video of Christian Cueva as the main character, during a fight in a Brazilian nightclub, resulted in a temporary sanction for the player in Santos.
After what happened and thinking about the friendly matches of the Peruvian National Team against Uruguay for the second FIFA Date that will take place on October 10 and 14, Christian Cueva arrived in Lima and quickly joined the 'blanquirroja' training.
At the time, the call-up of the footballer for this FIFA Date was not well received by many; however, now the criticisms have increased. This is how sports journalist Pedro Eloy stated that Cueva is currently not useful to the National Team.
"Today, as he is, Christian Cueva is not useful to the National Team. The player must come to La Videna to bring solutions, he is bringing problems. Bringing solutions is arriving well, being ready to play, and that is not the case," said the sports journalist.
