Pablo Bengoechea coached Alejandro Hohberg at Alianza Lima during 2017 and 2018. They managed to win the championship together in 2017 and the runner-up position the following year.
Alejandro Hohberg played 90 matches under the guidance of Pablo Bengoechea and scored 16 goals for the 'blanquiazul' team. Recently, Pablo Bengoechea confessed to Depor.com that he would have liked to continue counting on the player from Universitario de Deportes.
"We had given the green light for Alejandro Hohberg to stay at Alianza Lima. He knew that we wanted him. I even spoke to him, he was negotiating with the board, but I understand that he is a professional and chose what was best for him and his family," commented the Uruguayan coach.
