Julio César Uribe
was coach of Alianza Lima in 1995. The 'Diamond', shortly before the classic against Universitario de Deportes, told a funny anecdote from the time he was the 'blanquiazul' coach, one that involves one of the legends of salsa, Gilberto Santa Rosa.
"The relationship with the guys was excellent but one of them made a mistake, generated a meeting because he expressed that I was very demanding. I talked to the guys, the president was surprised because they complained about my level of demand," Julio César Uribe said on Fox Sports Radio Peru, and concluded with the following: "There came a moment when I told the players: guys, you will never be able to kill a coach. Three days passed where I was very angry with the group and after three days the guys knock on the locker room door and play me the song by Gilberto Santa Rosa, the one called 'Perdóname'.", added the 'Diamond'.
He also expressed that it was that gesture that made the group come back together after that meeting: "It's a gesture that I valued a lot. The relationship was restored after that gesture. I took away their cell phones, I was the first coach to take away their cell phones," Uribe concluded with his peculiar anecdote.

That year in 1995, Universitario and Alianza Lima would end up tied in second place, they had won all the classics but in the defining match for a spot in the Copa Libertadores, it was the cremas who took the victory with a goal by Roberto Martínez.
