It couldn't be. Ricardo Gareca did not win the 'The Best' award for best coach. The coach of the Peruvian National Team was far from first place, obtained by the coach of Liverpool from England, Jurgen Klopp.
'Tigre' obtained 10 points in the voting, sharing the tenth place in the ranking with Marcelo Gallardo, coach of River Plate from Argentina.
His great performance with the Peruvian National Team allowed Ricardo Gareca to be considered in a luxurious list, the same one that had three Argentine coaches (in addition to the 'Muñeco' and the 'Tigre', Mauricio Pochettino was also included).
Gareca occupied the tenth place in 'The Best' awards.
Ricardo Gareca will have his second qualifying process leading the Peruvian National Team. The strategist is not satisfied with having obtained the qualification for the 2018 World Cup and the runner-up in the 2019 Copa America, so he will go for more with the national team.
