Joel Raffo, General Manager of Innova Sports, the new owners of Sporting Cristal, officially announced the purchase of the club and sent a reassuring message to the players and fans of the institution.
"We are aware of the responsibility we assume by being here today, and we know that in the club it is not enough to achieve results to excel, but also the methods to be a model institution in the country," said Raffo, representative of the new owners of Sporting Cristal.
Changing the name of the club, the colors of the jersey, seems to be a non-negotiable issue. "We are not here to make structural or drastic changes. We come to follow a philosophy. Our goal is to make it a regional model, we will not change the name and we will put all our experience to achieve our objectives," added the representative of Innova Sports.
Likewise, he made it clear that the participation of Carlos Gonzalez, a representative of players, would not be a problem. "I want to clarify that there is no conflict of interest in our company led by different professionals and we will strengthen the management of the club in this way," he added.
Finally, he sent a message to the fans. "To the fans, we say that we are working on a competitive process, with an action plan that we will start after this announcement. We also found out today that we made this purchase and we will seek to make Cristal a model at the regional level," he concluded.
