His name caused a stir on social media and his training at Alianza Lima also caught attention. Carlos Quevedo was signed by Santos FC, which plays in the Second Division, and is now looking to move up to the top category, just as he did with Sport Boys in 2017.
"I trained at Sporting Cristal and spent four months at Alianza Lima (2015). I didn't stay at Alianza due to a lack of opportunities. Things happened that are normally seen in lower divisions. That's why I decided to leave. It was the best decision I made," said Carlos Quevedo in an interview with Depor.
Carlos Quevedo adapts very well as an 'attacking midfielder' and has no problem playing as a 'number 9' if needed. In fact, he adapts very well across the entire attacking front.
"I was at Victoria, but we were removed from the tournament. So, I decided to go to Santos because it's a more serious team that is fighting for promotion. I want to compete for important things," he added.
Although many people associated him with Kevin Quevedo, Carlos has no family relation to the Alianza Lima star. However, his uncle is Peruvian referee Giovanni Quevedo.
"I'm not a fan of any team, but I really like Sporting Cristal and Sport Boys. I would like to play for Boys more because I climbed up with them in 2017," he concluded.
