Universitario de Deportes has confirmed this afternoon the end of its working relationship with Germán Denis, who after 12 months will move to Italian football after becoming one of the foreign players with the best goal average in recent years, and the top scorer of the club in the 2019 season with 16 goals in 32 matches.
In an interview with RPP, the Argentine athlete mentioned that the main reason for leaving the 'merengue' club and going to Reggina Calcio was to be with his family.
"It means a lot to be with my family. This year there were moments in which, despite being fine in Lima, I suffered from not being with my family. These are personal decisions in which one sees the future of their children, which are ahead of everything," he said.
In addition to the emotional aspect, Germán Denis also stated that he plans to become a coach at the club, where he has a two-year contract project.
