Japanese midfielder Masakatzu Sawa returns to Peruvian football, this time with Unión Huaral, which is seeking promotion to the First Division. The memorable player is returning to Peru after more than a year, having played in the Japanese league last season.
Masakatzu Sawa played for Sporting Cristal, Cienciano, and Deportivo Municipal, where he had his best moments and established himself as one of the top figures of the national tournament.
Although he returned to Japan, where he represented Kashiwa Reysol, he was always remembered by Peruvian fans. This time, the 36-year-old midfielder will fight to promote to the First Division with Unión Huaral.
According to the club's Facebook page, the Japanese player would be fit to play in the next match against Santos de Nasca, which will take place this weekend for the 10th round of the Liga 2.
Union Huaral is currently in second place on the Liga 2 table, with 18 points in nine matches. Additionally, they are only 4 points behind their upcoming opponent, who is the leader in the Second Division.
