Sofía Mulánovich, the first Peruvian and South American to win the world title

Visit to the High Performance Center in Punta Rocas
In relation to this event, Sofía visited the facilities of the High Performance Center in Punta Rocas beach, from there she declared feeling honored to be in an iconic place and recalled that the first world champion, Felipe Pomar, came from that beach.

The surfer met with medalists like Tamil Martino, who referred to her as "the image of surfing in Peru." "She is our highest representative worldwide, I believe that Sofía opened the doors and the path of the competitive world in surfing for Peru, we are simply following her legacy," he said.
A bright future for surfing in Peru
On the other hand, Sofía expressed her happiness with the infrastructure of the place. The facility, which is over 33,000 square meters, will be completed by the end of the year and will have a swimming pool for water practices, a specialized gym with trampolines and trapezes for acrobatics training, among other elements.
