Miguel Trauco in Saint-Étienne and Cristian Benavente in Nantes are the two Peruvians who will be present in the Ligue 1 during the 2019-20 season. That's why, on Fox Sports Radio Peru, they made an analysis of which of the two players could have a better level in the 'Old Continent'.
Alan Diez's opinion was quite clear: "Benavente is one step ahead, he has already lived in Europe, the adaptation will be faster," said the journalist.
On the other hand, Eddie Fleischman explained how complicated it will be for 'Chaval' in French football: "Cristian Benavente is going to a position where there is much more friction, more roughness, in French football they mark hard, harder than in Belgium. He has a good reference of what he did in Belgium, hopefully he can replicate it in France, it would be good for the national team, but it won't be so easy for Benavente," he added.
Mauricio Loret de Mola highlighted the qualities of the former Pyramids FC player and emphasized the importance that Trauco's arrival to French football will have: "In favor of Cristian Benavente is the fact that he can play in different attacking positions, I remember in matches with Charleroi he played as a center forward. (For Trauco), it is a great showcase in Europe to play a tournament like that."
