Maitte Torres sends a message of 'No to violence against children' prior to her debut at Lima 2019.

Play with us! Peruvian athlete, Maitte Torres, took advantage of her upcoming participation in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games to send a message against violence against minors. The national sportswoman, a UNICEF ambassador, left the following message through a video that has already been viewed thousands of times on YouTube.

With the hashtag #BarrierAgainstViolence, the 25-year-old woman sent this message on the official UNICEF website prior to her participation in Lima 2019.

"Run for passion, not for fear. Violence is not a game. Support from our families, teachers, and peers is essential. A violent environment does not help in our development," says the sprinter who will represent Peru in the competition.
