Miguel Trauco will sign for Saint-Etienne from the French Ligue 1 in the coming days. This led Universitario fans to wonder: will the left back's transfer generate any income for the merengue squad?
The answer, much to the sadness of the cream fans, is no. The national player was transferred to Brazil as a free agent, leaving Universitario without any percentage of his transfer, which prevents them from benefiting from his future transfers.
As for the solidarity mechanism, Universitario would not be entitled to any percentage of it, since Miguel Trauco joined the club after the age of 23, which is the limit age considered for such consideration.
The institution that would benefit from this new challenge that the 'Genius' will have is Unión Comercio. The moyobambinos were the ones who developed the talented left-footed player, so they will receive a juicy sum of money once the transfer is finalized.
Miguel Trauco will defend the fourth shirt of his career. After his time at Unión Comercio, he joined Universitario; then, he was signed by Flamengo of Brazil; and now, he will do the same with Saint-Etienne of France, in his first European experience.
