The fan of the Peruvian National Team had high expectations for Nolberto Solano's team performance in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Now, 'Ñol's squad is on the verge of elimination and only a miracle could qualify them for the tournament's semifinal.
Amidst the euphoria generated by Ricardo Gareca's team's good performance in the Copa America, the Peruvian Football Federation is convinced of continuing Nolberto Solano's work leading the U23 team.
"Nolberto Solano has our full support, along with his coaching staff. We are grateful for all their efforts," affirmed the president of the Peruvian Football Federation.
"I see a good future with all the boys who played. Things didn't go well, but unfortunately, that's football. It was a carelessness in the last minute," added Agustín Lozano.
On the other hand, the U23 Peruvian National Team will face Jamaica this Sunday. Nolberto Solano's squad is obligated to score heavily and also must wait for the result of Uruguay vs. Honduras.
