After the adverse result, the Argentine coach of Sporting Cristal, Claudio Vivas, expressed his confidence that his team will achieve the comeback at home and reiterated his support for Uruguayan forward Cristian Palacios.
"I have the feeling that we could have done more. We had control of the entire match, but sometimes that's how it goes. We lost due to our own mistakes, but we have the option to turn it around in Peru," Vivas said.
With the intention of enhancing their offensive power, the strategist plans to start Christopher Gonzalez and Fernando Pacheco, the midfielders in charge of creating the plays that Palacios must finish.
Zulia, on the other hand, will seek to maintain at least the advantage achieved with the goal scored at 60 minutes of the first leg match by Swiss-Venezuelan player Frank Feltscher.
The forward expressed his confidence that the team will reproduce in Lima the good image it showed at home since, according to him, the advantage gives them "confidence."
"In Peru we will have to defend a little more, but we feel comfortable with that. Our strengths lie in counterattacks. I am sure that we will score a goal in Peru," he said.
