Lima 2019: Hugo del Castillo won the first medal for Peru [PHOTOS].

This morning, our compatriot Hugo del Castillo won the silver medal in Taekwondo in the individual Poomsae (exhibition) modality.

It is the first medal for Peru in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

The gold medal went to the American Andrew Lee. The Mexican Marco Arroyo took third place and won the bronze medal.

Canada (Abbas Assadian), Guatemala (Dany Coy), and Puerto Rico (Luis Colón) were the other countries that participated in this competition.

The event took place at the Callao Sports Complex.
