At the 77th minute of the match between Sporting Cristal and Zulia FC, Cristian Palacios reached the opponent's goal and came close to tying the game; however, he had a bad finish and the ball went over the crossbar. At that moment, the referee decided to stop the game but it is still not clear why.
The main referee of the match tried to communicate with VAR through the microphone; but apparently there was some kind of interference because the referee said he couldn't hear well. Seconds later, they used a walkie talkie with which they finally established communication and the game continued.
