University of Sports Will Experience Winds of Change at the Administrative Level

The National Superintendence of Tax Administration (SUNAT) has once again taken the helm of the Creditors Board. In its first measure, the tax entity removed Consultoría de Finanzas Corporativas EIRL (Carlos Moreno) from the administration and appointed Solución y Desarrollo Empresarial SAC (Leguía brothers) as their replacement.

Newspaper EL BOCÓN spoke with Adrián Gilabert, legal advisor of Solución y Desarrollo Empresarial SAC, to tell us about the first actions in this second period at the institution in Ate, led by the Leguía brothers. He also delivered a message to the sports team in an attempt to calm the waters that have been turbulent in recent hours.

When Will the Transfer Process Begin?

Once the minutes are signed, we are authorized to act on behalf of University of Sports. However, there is a transfer process that takes some time and is different from the task assigned by the Creditors Board. We hope that it does not take too long and we appeal to the goodwill of the outgoing administrator for this process to proceed smoothly.

How long will all these procedures take?

This process can be concluded within 10 days, depending on the goodwill of the outgoing administrator. I do not think it should take more than 15 days.

What day will you submit the documentation to the Public Registry?

Formally, the Creditors Board minutes must be certified by Indecopi, which takes between five to ten days, and then we can proceed to the Public Registry. However, the appointment, through the minutes, authorizes the new administrator to act on behalf of the club.

So, will you go to Campo Mar to talk with the board of directors?

First, we want to talk to the outgoing administrator. Although Solución y Desarrollo SAC has been entrusted with the administration of the club, no one would like to suddenly appear at their home without notice. It is important to be careful and do things well.

Regarding sports, what is your opinion of the team's campaign?

I prefer to abstain from this topic. A sports manager could provide their opinion on the matter or the institution through their official spokespersons. What I can say is that the team will not be changed. We will provide peace of mind to the coaching staff and the team so that they can do their work as best as possible. We cannot disturb the team's peace of mind. I take this opportunity to reassure the boys that there will be no changes in the coaching staff or the team.

SUNAT has once again taken the lead of the Creditors Board. This entity was against the Restructuring Plan approved in February 2017...

The intention is to modify the Restructuring Plan, and we will provide a report that demonstrates this. However, it will be the Creditors Board that makes that decision. The creditors will determine the fate of the institution.
