The Peruvian women's volleyball team under 20 lost this Saturday against the Mexican team in the World Championship of the category, leaving no options to reach the ninth place in the youth tournament.
The national team fell 3-2 against the host team, after failing to maintain the advantage they built at the beginning of the match.
Natalia Málaga's team won 23-25 and 20-25 in the first two sets, but the locals recovered forcefully (25-17, 25-12 and 15-10) to secure the victory and place among the top ten representatives of the competition.
In this way, the 'matadorcitas' will face the losers of the match between Argentina and Serbia for the eleventh place in the FIVB Women's U20 Volleyball World Championship, held at the Domo de la Feria de León in Guanajuato.
