Everything is in order. The administration of Sporting Cristal used its social media platforms to clarify the way in which Jhilmar Lobatón arrived at Universidad San Martín, after rumors that they would be breaking the Liga 1 regulations regarding the number of players transferred to a team.
According to article 27 of the Liga 1 regulations, "no club can contribute more than five players to the same team." However, Sporting Cristal transferred six players, including Jhilmar Lobatón; these would be Walter Zevallos, Flavio Gómez, Jefferson Portales, Renato Espinosa, and Edhu Oliva.
However, in the case of Carlos Lobatón's brother, the club clarified that "the player Jhilmar Lobatón arrived at Universidad San Martín as a free transfer. Sporting Cristal maintains a buyback option for 2020," through its official Twitter account.
