Will it be the farewell? Mauricio Affonso indicated, this Tuesday, that the offer that Pablo Bengoechea spoke about after the victory against Sport Victoria is concrete and that he is in negotiations to play this weekend with Alianza Lima for the Bicentenario Cup. The Uruguayan forward confirmed that he is being sought after from South Africa.
"The possibility of leaving is there. The offer came a few days ago and personally it is something very nice for me and for Alianza Lima due to the income it will bring. We will wait for it to be confirmed in these days to see if my departure takes place," he said.
Although everything is on track, Mauricio Affonso does not want to confirm his departure. However, he is already beginning to miss La Victoria and has an explanation for it: "My time at Alianza Lima has been the best of my career," he said while remembering that before arriving at Matute he was not going through good sporting moments.
"I have experienced very beautiful things here and I am very grateful to the club. I'm going to miss many things. I am grateful to the fans for the support they have always given me," said the Uruguayan forward, who stated that the attacking line at Victoriano will be in good hands with Gonzalo Sánchez and Adrián Ugarriza.
Mauricio Affonso leaves the club having scored 17 goals in a year and a half in the Peruvian First Division, leaving many broken hearts among the fans.
