The full Advisory Committee of the Peruvian Football Federation presented their letter of resignation due to the complicated situation of Edwin Oviedo, the president of the FPF who is still involved in legal issues.
The Advisory Committee, made up of independent professionals, was composed of Gianfranco Catagnola, Felipe Cantuarias, Alfredo Ferrero, Paolo Sacchi and Luis Alfonso Carrera.
Edwin Oviedo: for the third time ADFP asks the president of the FPF to request a leave.
In the last few hours, Edwin Oviedo has been involved in a new audio that would have caused the resignation of the entire Advisory Committee of the FPF.
The president of the FPF declared on Monday that he does not intend to resign from his position. "I won't resign because I haven't done anything wrong. If anything wrong is found, I will resign, otherwise not," he said in an interview with RPP.
"Due to bad comments and not clarifying things at the right time, we are facing the current situation. If they find something criminal, I will step aside," Edwin Oviedo added.
Edwin Oviedo thanked the Advisory Committee for their work:
