The ADFP reiterated its position regarding the criticisms against Edwin Oviedo, president of the FPF, amid his alleged connection with judge César Hinostroza and the arrested businessman Antonio Camayo. Hugo Duthurburu voiced the entity's stance on the program 'Football como Cancha' of RPP.
"We are not in the best football scenario within the sports organization, we must not lose our way as Peruvians, as leaders, as journalists," exclaimed Duthurburu.
"Unfortunately, the things that are happening are not the best scenario and we reiterate the request for the president of the FPF to step aside," he summarized in reference to the statement released by the ADFP for the third time, asking that the head of the FPF take a leave of absence until the facts are clarified.
Franklin Chuquizuta, vice president of the FPF, asked for a board meeting for Edwin Oviedo to clarify what really happened. "To start, he disavows an advisory committee that has worked for a long time and probably other ambitions that have not been approved by the board, it is not a minor thing," mentioned Duthurburu.
Finally, the president of the ADFP also traveled to the World Cup, but commented that he did not see Camayo and Hinostroza at the team's hotel: "We stayed at a hotel near the center of Moscow."
