The priority of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) is for Ricardo Gareca to accept continuing in charge of the Peruvian National Team, despite the wave of labor instability generated as a result of the judicial problems involving the president, Edwin Oviedo.
In this context, Freddy Ames asked Oviedo to step aside. The president of Deportivo Coopsol also stated that the hiring of Marcelo Bielsa - in the event of a "no" from Gareca - would be a solution to correct the "problems at the management level".
"Bielsa is an intelligent person and therefore he will not accept a proposal from the current leadership of the FPF, he will realize what is happening around," said Freddy Ames to Radio Ovación.
Ames could not become president of the FPF in 2014, despite being the only candidate qualified to take the reins of the highest entity of Peruvian football.
"The situation of the FPF is serious, the presence of Bielsa or another coach does not neglect our problem, with a questioned leadership," concluded Freddy Ames, who proposed Diego Simeone as the successor of Pablo Bengoechea in 2014.
