Paolo Guerrero and his message of support to Christian Cueva: "My total support, brother" [VIDEO]

The captain of the Peruvian National Team, Christian Cueva's teammate and friend, Paolo Guerrero, showed his support for him. Guerrero left a message on Cueva's Instagram account in solidarity with what happened to him with a fan at the airport before traveling to Russia.

"My total support brother, you know that there are people who want to destabilize and cause harm. But you know your worth, you have shown it throughout your career. It's not just Peru who speaks about you, it's internationally known that you are a star," wrote the forward.

"Keep it up, focused on your own and always loving your family, they will always be by your side in good times and bad. 'Tamo junto sempre'," Guerrero pointed out.

Christian Cueva also commented on what happened in a statement. "I deeply regret the verbal aggression that I suffered from someone who took advantage of my good faith and willingness towards all fans, uttering unrepeatable words in a video recording. This incident not only hurts the dignity of my family but also the team and all Peruvians who have been 'one' in this World Cup," he wrote.
