Members of the Licensing Committee Resign from the Peruvian Football Federation
Members of the Licensing Committee resigned from the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) on Wednesday. The board was presided over by Gonzalo de las Casas, who made this decision following disagreements with members of the ADFP and clubs such as Universitario de Deportes.
RPP News was able to confirm the resignation of Gonzalo de las Casas and his team. The lack of agreements, criticism from some clubs, and the position of the FPF following the events led to the resignation of this committee.
Trying to explain the issue surrounding the Licensing Committee and detailing the actions that will be taken at Videna, Felipe Cantuarias gave an interview on "Fútbol Como Cancha". He is the president of the Organizing Committee for Competitions of the FPF.
"The Licensing System has a management transformation component. We have to understand that Peruvian professional clubs need to change their management models in order to truly grow and become professional," he explained.
"We have to convince clubs that the Licensing System is a great opportunity," he detailed. He also spoke about the new tournament that will be organized by the FPF for 2019. "This new league will be a participatory process, we all have to work together," he said.
