Peruvian National Team: Is Nolberto Solano an option to replace Ricardo Gareca? [VIDEO]

Lunes 09 de Julio del 2018

Nolberto Solano said he is ready to take on the challenge but trusts in Ricardo Gareca's return. The 'Tiger' is currently enjoying his family vacation.

Nolberto Solano is not afraid of challenges and less of being the successor of Ricardo Gareca. The popular 'Ñol' trusts in the return of the 'Tigre' to the Peruvian National Team but would not hesitate to accept wearing the bicolor jersey.

"It's something that one thinks about, although the demand is not easy, the bar is set very high for anyone who takes on this selection in case Ricardo Gareca leaves. I'm not afraid of anything and the experience I had with him in Russia was very good, he taught me a lot", Solano said in an interview with El Bocón.

"Just as Ricardo Gareca took some time to think, he would have to do it because in my enthusiasm I could say yes, but we have to think about the future. Knowing this group, there is not much to change, but hopefully Ricardo returns and stays to work with us," he added.

Is Nolberto Solano an option for the Peruvian Football Federation? Currently, Edwin Oviedo's only option is the return of Ricardo Gareca and his continuity until the 2022 World Cup.

"The priority is Ricardo Gareca, we will not talk to anyone. We must not interrupt this process," said the president of the FPF. The Peruvian National Team will wait until the end of the month for the coach's response.

The Peruvian National Team already has three friendly matches scheduled for the FIFA dates in September against the Netherlands and Germany, and in October against Chile.

Ricardo Gareca, who is also of interest to Colombia and Argentina, is taking a few days of vacation with his family while he decides about his future as a coach. The coach was captured by a media outlet in Cordoba.
