It is worth mentioning that independent lawyer Wilber Medina has submitted a pardon request to FIFA President Gianni Infantino for the striker, following the suspension imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

As a reminder, CAS issued a 14-month ban on the Peruvian striker after the World Anti-Doping Agency appealed the reduction of the sanction imposed by FIFA, following the adverse analytical finding in a doping test.
