Universitario de Deportes is not having a good year, both in sports and financially. The cream team is the worst club in the financial results of the Licensing System corresponding to the first bimester of 2018.
The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) published the financial balance of the clubs in the first two months of the year, with Universitario being last on the list.
"It is worth mentioning that the average compliance during the period was 88% and that out of the 16 clubs, 6 reached 100% compliance, while only 5 are below 85%", it is indicated in the statement.
Among the institutions that have complied in these first two months of the year are Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, San Martín, Binacional, among others.
What would happen if Universitario does not comply? In that case, the cream team would not be able to sign players next year, experiencing the same situation as in 2018.
The Licensing Commission is based on the number of infractions committed by the clubs to calculate the percentages, having the following 7 criteria:
Refinancing, obligations with the FPF, obligations with the Sports Associations, declaration and payment of salaries, declaration and payment of pension obligations - AFP, declaration and payment of tax obligations, other payments to be made by the club.
