Alliance Lima still dreams of the title

The team from La Victoria reached the semifinals of the National Superior Women's Volleyball League by defeating Deportivo Géminis 3-2 in the decisive match on Sunday.

The team led by Carlos Aparicio started the match very well and were very effective in finishing their attacking plays. They easily won the first two sets 25-19 and 25-17.

However, Alliance Lima let their guard down and the team from Comas equalized by winning the third set 28-26 and the fourth set 25-18. Both teams fought hard in the fifth set. The experience of Alliance Lima prevailed and they won 15-10, thus qualifying for the semifinals of the competition.

The other teams that advanced to the next phase of the tournament are Regatas Lima, the defending champions, San Martín, and Jaamsa. Jaamsa will be Alliance Lima's opponent in the semifinals. The first match will be played on Friday, the 20th. The second match will be played the next day. And if a tiebreaker is needed, it will be played on Sunday, the 22nd.
