Real Garcilaso vs Binacional protagonize an entertaining match for the seventh round of the Summer Tournament. With a penalty goal from Óscar Franco, the Cusco team took the lead at minute 42. However, the match had over an hour of delay to start the second half due to intense rain and hail that covered the field.
The main referee, David Huamán, decided to take a long time to wait for the weather to change, as the grass was completely white at Garcilaso de la Vega stadium. The field conditions were not suitable to continue the match between Real Garcilaso vs Binacional and the remaining time took over an hour to restart.
This is not the first time this type of event happens in Peruvian football. In 2014, in a match between Sport Huancayo vs Alianza Lima, something similar happened, where the referees decided to postpone the match.
"They're going to mark the line because it's difficult for the referees to continue the match. We're going up and waiting for them to call us," said Alfredo Ramúa, who was waiting in the tunnel of the stadium.
