Estudiantes vs Huracán

The Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium will witness the match that Estudiantes will play against Huracán at 7:00 pm, as part of the 17th round of the Superliga tournament. Due to the proximity of the match against Nacional in Montevideo, which will be played next Wednesday and will mark Pincha's debut in the current Copa Libertadores, Lucas Bernardi decided to make the first major rotation of the year and will make eight changes compared to the team that defeated Unión a week ago. The referee of the match will be Juan Pablo Pompei and the television coverage will be provided by TNT Sports.

Importance of the Match

For Pincha, tonight's match will be of great importance considering the maximum continental tournament of next year, as they are currently holding the last qualifying spot (Independiente, with one less match, can surpass them) and Huracán is only two points behind, although currently Gustavo Alfaro's team is focused on moving away from the relegation zone.

Challenge for Estudiantes

In addition, the Estudiantes team will have the great challenge of defeating Huracán for the first time since the latter returned to the First Division in 2015. The last victory was in the Clausura 2011, winning 3-0 as visitors in a match that had to be played in two parts due to the incidents that occurred at the Ducó stadium between the two sets of fans.

Starting Eleven

Regarding the starting lineup for today, the Albirrojo coach considered a 5-3-2 formation that can vary when the team is in an attacking position. Mariano Andújar, Lucas Diarte, and Fernando Zuqui will be the only ones to retain their place, while three key players will make their return: Leandro Desábato, Mariano Pavone, and Gastón Fernández. The latter two will start as regular players for the first time this year.

In addition to the mentioned players, Daniel Sappa, Facundo Sánchez, Jonatan Schunke, Sebastián Dubarbier, Christian Alemán, Jacob Murillo, Gastón Giménez, and Pablo Lugüercio will also travel to Parque Patricios this afternoon. One of them will be left out of the substitutes' bench before the match.

Lucas Rodríguez, Lucas Melano, and Juan Ferney Otero did not even make the list of called-up players and were fully preserved for the match against Bolso.

DAMONTE, WHO RETURNS, WILL PLAY A SPECIAL MATCH

Gustavo Alfaro, coach of Huracán, will make only one change in the starting eleven that drew with Arsenal: Israel Damonte, who will have a special match facing Pincha, will enter in place of Ricardo Noir, who has had poor performances in the last three matches.

With this change, the coach will alter the tactical formation, populate the midfield, and advance Ignacio Pussetto, the best-performing player in the tournament, on the field.
