Alianza Lima loses Ascues for 20-30 days due to muscle injury
"Ascues will not travel to Ayacucho. He had a muscle problem during training. Common sense tells me that his recovery will take 20 to 30 days. We will see how he evolves," resigned Alianza Lima coach Pablo Bengoechea commented.
Perhaps when the entire team is most needed, Alianza Lima loses its most valuable player. Versatile player Carlos Ascues suffered a blow during training and was ruled out for the match against Ayacucho this Saturday.
Likewise, not knowing the severity of his injury yet but understanding that everything has a recovery process, he would be out of the field for around 20 to 30 days.
In that sense, Alianza Lima doctor Hugo Blácido commented that Carlos Ascues has a tear and will be out for two or three weeks. "He will be able to do exercises according to the treatment and we hope that in about four or five days after reducing the inflammation, we can start field work. The rest of the players have no issues," the club's doctor said.
Alianza Lima has an important schedule in February. The team will face Ayacucho FC this Saturday. Then, on the following Sunday, they will play against Sporting Cristal, followed by a match against Universitario de Deportes, and then they will make their debut in the 2018 Copa Libertadores against Boca Juniors.
