According to the BBC, HMRC agents showed up on Wednesday morning at Glenn Murray and Stacey's home in Brighton, and searched it, seizing computers, accounting books, and financial records.
'A husband and wife have been arrested at a residence in Brighton as part of an investigation and accused of defrauding HMRC of 1.1 million pounds,’ explained a spokesperson for the British tax authorities. 'The couple was arrested, questioned, and subsequently released. Both are under investigation,' he continued.
'The man was arrested on suspicion of not paying income tax or VAT. The woman, on the other hand, was arrested for not paying income tax,' the agent commented.
