It had already been decided that he had to emigrate. Several clubs showed interest in Luis Abram, there was even one from Mexico. But another one came out that defined his future: Vélez Sarsfield. And although it was first talked about as a possibility, his arrival was not long in coming.
The former Sporting Cristal player traveled to Argentina last Wednesday. He passed the medical exams, will sign his contract, and on Thursday he was announced as a reinforcement until June 2021 via social media.

Vélez Sarsfield bought 80% of Luis Abram's contract. The club's president, Sergio Rapisarda, previously stated that Ricardo Gareca, coach of the Peruvian national team, had something to do with the decision.
Luis Abram, 21 years old, played 44 matches last season between the Descentralizado (39) and the Copa Libertadores (5). He was always a starter. After five years with the celeste team, this is his first experience abroad.
