"Surely Alliance Lima won't be favored by many, but we believe that the distances in football have been shortened and we can make them even shorter if we have a good preseason. We dream of achieving great things," Leao Butrón said a few days ago in Chincha.
Alliance Lima has the challenge of winning the championship for the second consecutive time and the Copa Libertadores. The team is in Group 8 along with Boca Juniors (Argentina), Palmeiras (Brazil) and Winner 4 (to be determined in the previous phase).
Boca Juniors will be Alliance Lima's opponent in their debut. The Argentine team will visit Matute (to be confirmed) on March 1st and the match is scheduled for 7:30 pm (Peruvian time). The return match, at La Bombonera, will be on May 16th at 7:45 pm (Peruvian time).
